• Nissan Altima: The Altima comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It comes with front-wheel drive and you have the option to have all-wheel drive. If the 2.5-liter engine doesn't suite your fancy than there is an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder available for SR and Platinum trims that is paired with CVT but limited to front-wheel drive only.
• Nissan Maxima: The standard S model comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine (with 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque present) that drives the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission as well.

Technology Features

Both the Nissan Altima and Maxima come equipped with Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an 8-inch touchscreen for your app using enjoyment.

• Nissan Altima: There are four USB-ports throughout the car with two residing in the front and two in the back and a six-speaker audio system. If you like the Altima but are bummed about having less speakers, you can opt for the SL trim that brings navigation and a premium Bose sound system.
• Nissan Maxima: The Nissan Maxima has a little more sound for you with its eight-speaker audio system, so you can listen to your music on full blast. The Maxima, however, only has two USB ports instead of the four that the Altima has.

• Nissan Maxima:The forward collision warning also works with automatic braking in the event of a potential front collision. Moving up the trim level to the Platinum model you can get more safety features such as intelligent around-view monitor which provides a 360-degree, top-down view of the vehicle when parking.

Both the Nissan Altima and Maxima have keyless entry and push-to-start engines for quick and easy entry. For more trunk space both vehicles have 60/40-split rear seats.

• Nissan Altima: If you're looking for a little more space in your trunk the Altima has 15.4 cubic feet of space, so you and your family can each take a sizeable luggage on your next vacation. The Nissan Altima SL offers leather seats at a lower trim level than the Maxima.
• Nissan Maxima: The Maxima has a little less cargo capacity at 14.3 cubic feet but has an opening wide enough for golf clubs. If you're looking for sleek comfort of leather seats you can upgrade to the Platinum trim for quilted leather seats.
